After 25 minutes, socceroos raised their score by one when Kees Dekkers's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post byMárcio Fernandes. 1 - 1. Many thought Nicolas Moreau ought to have been awarded a penalty shot 26 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Izidor Stemler after a determined run through the middle. Halftime score was 1 - 1. This half belonged to socceroos, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

A header from Humberto Oreste Pompei connected with a corner kick after 49 minutes, and the ball ended up with Artur Pfaffenzeller of socceroos who shot home the 2-1 goal. After 50 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 2 - 2 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by Dominicus Zwier. The referee showed socceroos's Artur Pfaffenzeller the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Giuliano Bianchi would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Tommaso Fois entered the game for socceroos as the match clock showed 65 minutes. f.c.imperio's Javier Castañón went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. socceroos fans held their breath as Mats Johansson scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the go-ahead goal for 3-2! After a short break in the 76 minute, socceroos seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. As Artur Pfaffenzellerwas substituted 76 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Roman Schneider was the replacement. f.c.imperio's Félix Cerain got himself booked for a foul. f.c.imperio's Rene Ølholm was shown a yellow card after 84 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The defenders were clearly outwitted by socceroos after 84 minutes. The disciplined free kick combination shifted the ball quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. Kees Dekkers appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 4 - 2. Some mind-boggling play by Dominicus Zwier almost resulted in a goal for socceroos, but Kees Dekkers's shot went off the post. socceroos held the ball, with a clear 62 percent of possession.

Most important socceroos player was Mats Johansson. However, Albert Marín Valle made a disastrous appearance. Dominicus Zwier performed admirably for f.c.imperio. Eduard Vercher on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 2.

socceroos mostly relied on their long range shooting ability. A long pass from the defence of yoyeros resulted in a counterattack that set Eloi Pujol free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 35 minutes that gave the visitors the 0 - 1 lead. Despite the controversy, Albert Marín Valle struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed socceroos'sKees Dekkers a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. The yoyeros player who had to be helped off the pitch, was Eugenio Laín Entralgo as he was unable to finish the game. Mauro Ramírez came in to finish the match. yoyeros evened the score after 37 minutes when Eloi Pujol netted a free kick for 1 to 1. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 39 minutes allowed Humberto Oreste Pompei to score the 1 - 2 goal for socceroos. yoyeros made it 2-2 as Manuel Zabarte knocked the corner kick to Maximilià Arolas who whipped a low drive in off the far post. The visitingArtur Pfaffenzeller was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 41 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 2 - 3 was the score. Halftime score was 2 - 3. This half belonged to socceroos, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

The coach of socceroos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, Constantin Marcu came on for Márcio Fernandes. As Albert Marín Valle was substituted 46 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Jeff Meurant was the replacement. Jeff Meurant was handed the socceroos captain's armband. The socceroos players could smell victory in the air.Tommaso Fois wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Giuliano Bianchiafter 46 minutes. In came Gorecho Dala. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 2 - 5 as Nicolas Moreau finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. socceroos's Artur Pfaffenzeller was shown a yellow card after 79 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 81 minutes socceroos showed some great patience outside the penalty area, waiting until Jeff Meurant could find the right opportunity to finish off the attack from distance. The long shot, however, was an easy catch for Pedro Cano. After 82 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowedMorris Jones to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 2 - 6. By now, socceroos were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. The forty-five minutes were dominated by socceroos, with an impressive 68 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating yoyeros player was without a doubt Eloi Pujol. Juan Mateos on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important socceroos player was Nicolas Moreau. Jeff Meurant was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 6.
