Clouds darkened the skies at Pinili's Stadium as 11143 spectators turned up for the match. furious had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Briand - Greco, Caminha, Ramaye - Pehlivan, Kasalica, Bernard, Dedić, Seurin - Antón, Altamira.
socceroos started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Alcazaba - Marín Valle, Pompei, Ezpeleta - Jespersson, Corneanu, Caranza, Olofsson, Bianchi - Illescas, Suokko.

socceroos mostly relied on their long range shooting ability. After 6 minutes, Ole Bernard came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to put away the 1 - 0 goal, giving furious the lead. Ali Fuat Pehlivan had a fantastic opportunity to put furious up another goal 30 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. furious's Alexi Seurin got himself booked for a foul. furious's Oto Caminha was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 38 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but Julien Briand got the best of it, blocking the shot from José Ezpeleta. furious added another goal to their lead as Ole Bernard struck home the 2 - 0 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for furious. Halftime score was 2 - 0. This half belonged to furious, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

socceroos's José Ezpeleta was shown a yellow card after 60 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Ali Fuat Pehlivan had a fantastic opportunity to put furious up another goal 67 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased furious's lead to 3 - 0 as Alexi Seurin finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. Things were deteriorating for the away team as furious scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Alexandre Ramaye after 70 minutes. furious enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

furious's best player was Francisco Antón. Alexandre Ramaye turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important socceroos player was Dorel Corneanu. Agripino Caranza was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 0.

The crowd of 10673 turning up at socceroo Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
socceroos had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Alcazaba - Marín Valle, Corneanu, Ezpeleta - Jespersson, Suokko, Caranza, Olofsson, Bianchi - Marcu, Illescas.Rollers tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Pitzek - Armaño, Luft, Ruete - Haapasalo, Habla, Schockaert, Truszkowski, Ahi - Vītolds, Setznagel.

Going for long shots seemed to be the pick of the day for socceroos. After a fine move down the middle Mats Jespersson nearly gave the home side a goal after 11 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Giuliano Bianchi made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 29 minutes into the match. Constantin Marcu bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for socceroos. 1 - 0. The game was characterized by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but Witold Truszkowski showed great heart and had a good game. With 31 minutes played, Serkan Ahi came in from the right and could have had the tying goal, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by Rollers. The referee showed socceroos's Constantin Marcu the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Rollers's Geert Habla went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. After 34 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Daniel Illescas might have resulted in another goal for socceroos. However, René Pitzek made a spectacular save. Agripino Caranza increased socceroos's lead to 2 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. Rollers fought on and, after 36 minutes, Witold Truszkowski was able to reply with the 2 - 1 goal after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Cheers filled the stadium as Daniel Illescas broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 3 - 1 goal for socceroos. As Giuliano Bianchi was substituted 60 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Mats Johansson was the replacement. The socceroos players could smell victory in the air. Albert Marín Valle wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Humberto Oreste Pompei after 65 minutes. The coach of socceroos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, Nicolas Moreau came on for Aapo Suokko. 70 minutes into the game, socceroos adjusted their style of play in order to conserve the lead. Saúl Alcazaba made a brilliant save 72 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from Gints Vītolds on the right hand side. The visitors replied 80 minutes into the game, scoring the 3 - 2 goal, as Felipe Ruete dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. socceroos's José Ezpeleta was delighted to score the 4 - 2 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 81 minutes. By now, socceroos were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Ekkehard Luft could've grabbed a goal for Rollers 84 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. socceroos claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

socceroos's best player was Dorel Corneanu. Humberto Oreste Pompei on the other hand, had a terrible day. Rollers's best player was Witold Truszkowski. However, Felipe Ruete made a disastrous appearance.

5627 spectators had come to Coliseum this cloudy day.
TalanFC decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Starters: Docal - Isasti, Guadalix, Dapifer - Weiermann, Esseni, Soriano, Tablino - Galán, Cortada, Galdón.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for socceroos. The following players took the field: Alcazaba - Irlius, Trãistaru, Marín Valle - Illescas, Caranza, Bianchi, Corneanu, Jespersson - Pfaffenzeller, Marcu.

The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of socceroos's Constantin Marcu after 10 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. The referee showed socceroos's Radu Trãistaru the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 23 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Dorel Corneanu to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. With 25 minutes played, socceroos put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Radu Trãistaru. By now, socceroos were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Adolfo Dapifer of TalanFC was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It was 0 - 3 at the break. socceroos held the ball, with a clear 65 percent of possession.

The coach of socceroos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, José Ezpeleta came on for Albert Marín Valle. As Constantin Marcu was substituted 60 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Serafín González was the replacement. The game had been on for 65 minutes when Fredrik Irlius broke through on the right, upping the score for socceroos to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. The socceroos coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 75 minutes into the game. A drive on the left side allowed socceroos's Artur Pfaffenzeller to get in close and score a goal after 78 minutes, leading to 0 - 5. 79 minutes into the match, Serafín González came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Artur Pfaffenzeller came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over Marcos Docal and it was a little too high and hit the bar. 80 minutes in, TalanFC's Antonio Galán received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.

socceroos claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

TalanFC's top performer was clearly Antonio Galán. Juan Miguel Tablino was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating socceroos player was without a doubt Dorel Corneanu. José Ezpeleta on the other hand, had a terrible day.
