After 19 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as socceroos found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to solid. socceroos solidified their lead at the 20 minute mark, as Humberto Oreste Pompeimanoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 3 - 0. socceroos's Tommaso Fois was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 23 minutes. socceroos's Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi was delighted to score the 4 - 0 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 27 minutes. After this, socceroos lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, socceroos's Giuliano Bianchigot himself booked. Halftime score was 4 - 0. The forty-five minutes were dominated by socceroos, with an impressive 73 percent possession of the ball.
socceroos's coach took some time during the break to go over his strategy, which raised socceroos's organization to solid. 66 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Nicolas Moreau dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0 for socceroos. As Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi was substituted 69 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Jeff Meurant was the replacement. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed SpecialClub's Ricardo Bernardos a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 85 minutes into the game. 86 minutes in, socceroos appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only solid. socceroos put themselves up 8 - 0 when Morris Jones broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. This half belonged to socceroos, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.
Artur Pfaffenzeller performed admirably for socceroos. Saúl Alcazaba on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important SpecialClub player was Javier Florit. Juan Miguel Zubillaga turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 8 - 0.
