Clear skies welcomed the 12802 spectators who had made their way to socceroo Arena. socceroos decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Alcazaba - Marín Valle, Pompei, Corneanu - Johansson, Illescas, Moreau, Olofsson, Fois - Marcu, Pfaffenzeller.

Cortelito decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Mucchi - Castaños, Fontcuberta, Uzal, Colmelo - Guzmán, Pomés, Hořínek, Neglia - Fasoli, Melis.

Many thought Constantin Marcu ought to have been awarded a penalty shot 9 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Vincenzo Mucchi after a determined run through the middle. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, socceroos's Constantin Marcu got himself booked. With 30 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Mats Johansson flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Cortelito's Zoltán Melis a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 33 minutes into the game. With 38 minutes played, socceroos put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball toConstantin Marcu, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. With 40 minutes played, Tommaso Fois could have brought this one home for socceroos as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. socceroos solidified their lead at the 41 minute mark, as Tommaso Foismanoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, socceroos decided to play a more defensive game at this point. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. socceroos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

The socceroos players could smell victory in the air. Daniel Illescas wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Agripino Caranza after 46 minutes. Agripino Caranza was handed the socceroos captain's armband. After 60 minutes, Albert Marín Valleput socceroos ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Nicolas Moreau squirmed himself through their central defence after 74 minutes, bringing the lead to 5 - 0. José Ezpeletagave socceroos supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 6 - 0 after 77 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. Cheers filled the stadium as Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 7 - 0 goal for socceroos. Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi of socceroos was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The forty-five minutes were dominated by socceroos, with an impressive 70 percent possession of the ball.

11268 spectators had found their way to Sin City Arena, despite the heavy rain. Rollers started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Pitzek - Luft, Armaño, Ruete - Haapasalo, Habla, Ahi, Truszkowski, Schockaert - Vītolds, Setznagel.

socceroos started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Alcazaba - Corneanu, Pompei, Marín Valle - Illescas, Caranza, Moreau, Olofsson, Johansson - Pfaffenzeller, González.

socceroos used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. socceroos pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Mats Johansson had a grin on his face as he raced down the field, almost oblivious to the rain. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of socceroos's Albert Marín Valle after 19 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. The defenders were clearly outwitted by Rollers after 32 minutes. The disciplined free kick combination shifted the ball quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. Witold Truszkowski appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 1 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Rollers, with an impressive 61 percent possession of the ball.

A foul after 48 minutes resulted in a free kick. Hagen Setznagel cannonballed it, giving the home team the lead 2 to 1. The visitors refused to give up and, after 65 minutes, Dorel Corneanu scored the tying 2 - 2 goal as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. The guests took the lead 85 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Artur Pfaffenzeller scoring the 2 - 3 goal. Jiri Haapasalo of Rollers received a yellow card after 85 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Rollers, with an impressive 59 percent possession of the ball.

The strategy for socceroos on this day was to use their ability to press. The visitors could have taken the lead from a free kick after 16 minutes, if it wasn't for the jaw-dropping save by Saúl Alcazaba. At this time in the match, socceroos was using their skill at pressing to successfully put pressure on their opponents. With 25 minutes played Mats Jesperssonalmost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 39 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. socceroos fans erupted in celebration as Agripino Caranzarifled the go-ahead goal into the the top corner. 1 - 0! A header from Albert Marín Valleconnected with a corner kick after 42 minutes, and the ball ended up with Daniel Illescas of socceroos who shot home the 2-0 goal. After 43 minutes, Francisco Antón came close to reducing the score with a free kick aimed near the left post, but Saúl Alcazaba warded the ball off to a corner. The goal to make it 3 - 0 was scored by Mats Jespersson after 44 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by socceroos. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. socceroos held the ball, with a clear 51 percent of possession.

Cheers filled the stadium as Humberto Oreste Pompei broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 4 - 0 goal for socceroos. 62 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Artur Pfaffenzeller dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0 for socceroos. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for socceroos. The socceroos players could smell victory in the air. Agripino Caranza wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Aapo Suokko after 65 minutes. Nicolas Moreau received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 69 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. As Serafín González was substituted 70 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi was the replacement. socceroos's Artur Pfaffenzeller had an excellent opportunity after 71 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! The coach of socceroos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, Constantin Marcu came on for Daniel Illescas. The socceroos captaincy was handed to Constantin Marcu. Ali Fuat Pehlivan of furious received a yellow card after 80 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. socceroos put themselves up 6 - 0 when Mats Jespersson broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, socceroos's Mats Jespersson somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi, who struck for 7 - 0. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Dorel Corneanu squirmed himself through their central defence after 87 minutes, bringing the lead to 8 - 0. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams.



socceroos's top performer was clearly Artur Pfaffenzeller. Saúl Alcazaba on the other hand, had a terrible day. Ali Fuat Pehlivan performed admirably for furious. However, Cristoph Fierlings made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 8 - 0.

Clear skies welcomed the 4056 spectators who had made their way to alex .com Arena. alex decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Soler Turmo - Fontauret, Guezala, Borrajo, Egurza - Balmaceda, Hughet, Neve, Corn - Maestro González, Perales.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for socceroos. Starters: Alcazaba - Corneanu, Pompei, Marín Valle - Jespersson, Moreau, Illescas, Olofsson, Johansson - Pfaffenzeller, Kotinurmi.

alex could have put themselves ahead after 13 minutes but Nauzet Maestro Gonzálezmissed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. socceroos's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! Albert Marín Valle's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. With 17 minutes played, alex's Carlos Balmaceda fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Carlos Balmacedafor diving. socceroos had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 24 minutes in when Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi came up alone against Rafael Soler Turmo who managed a block. The terraces were silenced after 28 minutes when socceroos's Mats Johansson put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. 35 minutes into the match, the speedy Carlos Balmaceda easily outpaced Albert Marín Valle to knock in the 1-1 goal. After 35 minutes, socceroos's Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. socceroos's Mats Johansson received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 38 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 1 - 3 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. By now, socceroos were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Halftime score was 1 - 3. socceroos held the ball, with a clear 63 percent of possession.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the socceroos coach let Serafín Gonzálezreplace Kalle-Matti Kotinurmi after 46 minutes. One of many good passes from Mats Jespersson at the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Mats Johansson, scoring the 1 - 4 goal for socceroos. By then Mats Johansson was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The coach of socceroos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 55 minutes, José Ezpeleta came on for Dorel Corneanu. Content with how the game was proceeding, the socceroos coach let Héctor Biarge replace Jonas Olofsson after 60 minutes. 60 minutes into the game, socceroos adjusted their style of play in order to conserve the lead. The visitors' Mats Jespersson took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 63 minutes into the match. 1 - 5 for socceroos. With 74 minutes played, a phenomenal play on the left side freed Artur Pfaffenzeller, of socceroos, to dash through and score another goal for the visitors. The score was then 1 - 6. As Mats Johansson had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the socceroos player a red card without batting an eyelid. The socceroos free kick 83 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But there was an idea to it - the misdirected ball was turned into a cross towards Héctor Biarge, who was waiting for it in the box. That's 1 - 7! Don't forget to thank the assistant coach for that gem of a routine! socceroos's José Ezpeleta was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 86 minutes. The home crowd was not impressed when Serafín González came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 86 minutes. socceroos were now up 1 - 8. The home crowd was not impressed when Nicolas Moreau came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 88 minutes. socceroos were now up 1 - 9. socceroos claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.
