It had rained all day, but 9560 hardy fans still made it out to Nuevo Monumental de Alcasser.

At.Alcasserense started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Lacoste Rivero - Carballeira, Tello, Biaño, Jate - Cervela, Baqueró, Díaz de Vargas, Bergantiños - Bermejo, Cao.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for socceroos. The following players had been chosen: Alcazaba - Irlius, Trãistaru, Marín Valle - Johansson, Caranza, Olofsson, Oud, Jespersson - González, Sjouwerman.

A mistake by the home side's central defence in the 6:th minute allowed Mats Johansson to score the 0 - 1 goal for socceroos. socceroos's Noah Oud received a play slashing through the home side's central defense in the 12:th minute, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 2 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Senén Carballeira of At.Alcasserense was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Ventín Cao tried to get a goal back for his At.Alcasserense but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete. The visitors added to their lead in the 29:th minute, after a sensational penalty kick by socceroos's Agripino Caranza slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 3. In the 34:th minute, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Sjef Sjouwerman to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. After this, socceroos lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts.
Halftime score was 0 - 4. socceroos held the ball, with a clear 69 percent of possession.

One of many good passes from Mats Johansson at the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Serafín González, scoring the 0 - 5 goal for socceroos. Given a free kick at a sharp angle, socceroos went for a variation that loyal fans may recognize from training. A sideways passing move moved the defence out of position and let Albert Marín Valle slip through on goal. No hesitation - and it's 0 - 6, 61 minutes into the game. A drive on the left side allowed socceroos's Serafín González to get in close and score a goal in the 65:th minute, leading to 0 - 7. In the 70:th minute, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Albert Marín Valle to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 8. A penalty was called in the 71:th minute, and socceroos's Agripino Caranza made the most of his chance to put his team up by another goal. 0 - 9 for the visitors. At.Alcasserense's Roberto Cervela was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick in the 72:th minute. Agripino Caranza increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 10. That made three goals for Agripino Caranza and he was marked down for the hat trick.
socceroos claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.
The most dominating At.Alcasserense player was without a doubt Manuel Jate. On the other hand, Juan Lacoste Rivero's play was disheartening.
socceroos's top performer was clearly Serafín González. However, Saúl Alcazaba made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 10.
